Politiks, amirite?
Politics Amirite?
We’re here on Earth, right now.
Alive. kicking.
On fertile green pastures
Set within an abyss of power
Fear set firmly in our heart
A portal to hell
Marching generations through
*in ya go!*
Greed and desire mopping the gristle of cold sweat off the ground
Power exists in a vacuum
Which is white guy talk for
Power is only in our head
Here’s the most exquisite paradox…
as soon as you give it all up,
you can have it all.
As long as you want power,
you can't have it.
The minute you don't want power,
you'll have more than you ever dreamed possible.
Ram Das said that
because
Power is not real
The barrel locked to your chin is real
Earth dug up and formed to kill man
Lead, copper, and plastic machined down to the tip of a bullet
In a factory
worked
by workers
People, like you and me
Because when you pull the trigger, ring the bell, jostle the lever,
a treat appears
Food, warmth, a bed, a stove, a Spotify subscription
We are giving it away to an electronic media
Maintained by hateful gods
Kings of the dollar
Demons at the gate
Because we don't know when we will die,
we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well.
Yet everything happens only a certain number of times,
and a very small number really.
How many more times
will you remember
a certain afternoon
of your childhood,
an afternoon that is so deeply
a part of your being
that you can't even conceive
of your life without it?
Perhaps four, five times more,
perhaps not even that.
How many more times
will you watch the full moon rise?
Perhaps 20. And yet it all seems limitless.
Bruce Lee’s Epitaph says that
No gods
No masters
Your thoughts are not your reality
The time
To Take action
Is Now
